creative brief

Name- Iceberg
Overview/description of initiative- Iceberg is an organization that connects young
adults through creative and expressive outlets. They will be able to share their
stories and find comfort in difficult situations in online and in-person formats. They
will see that when you first meet someone, you are only seeing the tip of the iceberg.

Goals- To let young adults feel a sense of connection, to bring about change in young
people minds, to instill a sense of worth in individuals, and to let these people know
they are not alone.

Mission statement- Iceberg is a community of young adults that strives to spread
understanding and acceptance of all through social media, visual media, event, and
sharing personal experiences.

Design objectives- To suggest a safe, secure and positive space
To suggest forward thinking ideas
To suggest a welcoming and friendly experience
To suggest a sense of youth
To suggest individuality

Concept statement- Crossing the sea, we meet a small block of ice. It seems to be
nothing more than another wanderer in the sea. The iceberg tip is all we see, but
there’s more to it than meets the eye. Much more lies beneath the surface. It is not
a wanderer, but stuck there, weighed down by its own self. We need to rise from
beneath the surface and allow our depths to be seen. It is not until then when we are
truly freed.

Key competitors/similar initiatives- To Write Love On Her Arms, Dr. Phil’s Anti-
Bullying campaign, NoH8

Target audience- Young adults, mainly 13-22
